Wolf Moon Rising

With Wolf Moon Rising, the four-time Nammy winner invites listeners into an atmospheric, wintery soundscape that celebrates the magic of the cold season.
The album brings together thirteen deeply moving original compositions on the Native love flute, enhanced by a meditative blend of Native Spirit, New Age, and Pop elements. Mysterious, calming, and beautiful, the music creates a warm, peaceful atmosphere.

This winter and Christmas album unfolds its special charm when snow blankets the land in sparkling white. The title Wolf Moon Rising refers to the first full moon of winter, known as the Wolf Moon by northern Native traditions – a time when the howl of wolves can be heard piercing the still night, inspiring a mystical mood.

The collection includes twelve romantic instrumental pieces and a contemplative Christmas story, all crafted to evoke harmony, relaxation, and dreamy serenity. Gentle flutes mingle with strings, bells, soft drums, background vocals, and enchanting piano melodies, offering warmth, comfort, and hope. Listeners are transported to magical winter landscapes, invited to dream, unwind, and enjoy the serene beauty of the season.

“When snow blows like spirits in the wind” …
The theme of the Wolf Moon threads through the entire album: thirteen mysteriously soothing tracks featuring delicate flute passages, atmospheric arrangements, and the full palette of winter moods, composed, arranged, and performed by Wolfsheart and Gigi Skokan.
